David Hall

David Hall is a historic colonial bungalow located in Fort Kochi, originally built in 1695 by the Dutch East India Company. It was later named after a Dutch commander, Hendrik Adriaan van Reed tot Drakestein’s associate, and eventually came under British ownership.

Today, David Hall has been beautifully restored and functions as a vibrant art gallery and cultural space. Managed by the Cochin Biennale Foundation, it regularly hosts art exhibitions, film screenings, cultural events, and workshops.

The charming courtyard café inside the premises makes it a perfect place to relax after exploring Fort Kochi’s heritage streets. With its colonial architecture and artistic vibe, David Hall blends history and contemporary creativity beautifully.
