Kottakkunnu, popularly known as the “Marine Drive of Malappuram,” is a scenic hill garden and cultural hub located in the heart of Malappuram town. Perched on a hilltop, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and town below.

The area features beautifully landscaped gardens, an open-air theatre, a children’s park, and a popular musical fountain show. Kottakkunnu also has historical significance, as remnants of an old fort once built by the Zamorins and later used by the British can still be seen here.
