Meesapulimala is the second highest peak in Kerala, standing at about 8,661 feet above sea level in the Western Ghats. Located near Munnar in Idukki district, this majestic mountain is famous for its rolling grasslands, mist-covered hills, and breathtaking sunrise views. The name “Meesapulimala” means “Tiger with a Moustache,” referring to the shape of its peaks.

It is a paradise for trekking enthusiasts, offering scenic trails that pass through tea plantations, shola forests, and wide-open meadows. The cool mountain air, panoramic valley views, and peaceful surroundings make it one of the most rewarding trekking destinations in Kerala. The sunrise from the summit is especially spectacular, attracting adventure lovers and photographers alike.
