The Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most enchanting forest regions in the state of Kerala. Located in the lush hills of Wayanad, this sanctuary is known for its dark, mist-covered forests, rich biodiversity, and thrilling wildlife experiences.

Established in 1973, it forms an important part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and shares borders with Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai National Park. The sanctuary is home to elephants, deer, gaur, leopards, and a variety of bird species.

The forest atmosphere feels magical, especially during early mornings when mist drifts through towering trees and sunlight filters softly through the canopy. Safari rides in the Muthanga and Tholpetty ranges offer visitors a chance to witness wildlife in their natural habitat. For nature lovers and adventure seekers, it is a perfect blend of thrill and tranquility.
